Seminar on the Benefit of Artificial Insemination (AI) Program and AI Equipment
CBBA, with a great honor, hosted a seminar in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture held on Saturday 4 July, 2009. Many distinguished guests took part in this meaningful event. In his presentation CBBA technical officer outlined the benefit of breeding Brahman genetics using Artificial Insemination (AI) program and introduced AI equipment to the participants.
OUR ACTIVITIES
In our strategy plan of association will work closely with our members and clients to develop and/or breed beef cattle in Cambodia. With these plans, we will make a potential in communicating, alleviating and cooperating with agencies, institutes, non-governmental and international organization.
In 2009, we are going to work with our 22 members to develop and/or breed beef cattle in Cambodia. Mr. SOM Horn is one of our members that participates all activities of association, especially his cow has been breed Brahman cattle which breed with semen named MR. SK 405 by experts from association on 8 May 2009. On 11 May 2009, our experts breed the semen of MR. SK 405 with local breed cattle in a family who Mr. HEM Vanna is a head of family, one of all members of association taking place in our all activities as another.
Cambodian Brahman Workshop
Cambodian Brahman Breeders’ Association (CBBA) launched a workshop of “Brahman Breed” on April 06, 2009 which participated by 32 participant s including 21 members of CBBA coming from 14 different villages in Kandal province and Phnom Penh city. The purposes of the workshop were to generate and extend values of cattle market through CBBA’s members.
To achieve the above purposes, the representative of CBBA during the workshop indicated some benefits of registering as members of Cambodian Brahman Breeders’ Association as the following:
- CBBA would share its own experiences and provide the Artificial insemination program such as AI, ET and IVF program to all members
- To add value to members of cattle through the provision of a range of services which are of value and relevance to as the mission of CBBA.
- CBBA can support other services such as Cattle Feed and grass seeds, Trace Mineral and vitamin, Premix, Cattle equipments, Semen sales, De-worming and vaccination program.

The cow of HP Farm that has identifier code: HP Miss 75/49 who is Bangus breed gave a birth called HP Mr. 777. He was born at 7 o’clock on April 7, 2009 and his weight at birth is 40.5 kilograms and his weight is the heaviest amount our herd cattle in ranch. The sire of HP Mr. 777 named HP Mr. Toro who is a Brahman Breed. The HP Farm located in Arey Ksath village which is 4 kilometers from Phnom Penh city.
